Favorite Christmas DIY Round Up

I'm not exactly the craftiest person around.  I tried a few DIY projects for the wedding, that ended in me just getting mad, accidentally cutting myself (on more than one occasion) and ending up just buying the thing I was trying to make.  But I think for Christmas this year I'm going to give crafting another whirl.   Here's a round up of my favorite Christmas projects from around the web.

This mini tree advent calendar by Jordan Ferney of Oh Happy Day is so adorable.  I'm a sucker for a good advent calendar.

I love this rosemary wreath made from an embroidery hoop, how simple.  This seems like something I can totally handle.

I saw this advent calendar DIY (based on a Pottery Barn version) last year on Katie Bower's blog, and think it's gorgeous.  Maybe I will try to do something similar!

Right now the only Christmas decorations we have are a festive wreath on our front door and some gold glitter pine cones. 

 

I feel like this wreath is pretty bad ass though, right?  Is this what being old and married is like?  Wreaths are exciting stuff? I'll probably tie a ribbon on it and maybe tuck a few pieces of holly in as well.

This charger cost me $1 at Michael's and the pine cones were $2.49.  Not too shabby. 

Hopefully next weekend we can pick out our first Christmas tree together! Now THAT is something to be excited about.  :)
