Pinning Every Day..

This house hunt has me pinning up a storm on my home decor board.   Unfortunately I think I'm developing (really) unrealistic decorating ideas. 

I mean come on, this laundry room? Amazing.

And this wall o' frames with yellow accent chairs, and the vintage phone?  I need it, all of it. NOW. 

Oh, and while we're at it, I'll take this kitchen.

In reality our house will be more Ikea chic, with a touch of west elm (and by touch I mean the two things we can afford from there, aka not their furniture. Unless of course I win their wish list giveaway, and then all bets are OFF!). 

Dear future house, I hope you don't end up totally empty with us sitting on lawn chairs. Can't wait to meet you, sorry we won't be able to afford anything nice at first, we're just poor almost-newlyweds.

The Hunt...

House hunting is not exactly as easy as Sandra Rinomato makes it appear. I guess I forgive her. And, if we ever move to Canada I know who I will call to find me a house.
 

Our first attempt at buying a house (last week) tanked due to asbestos in the house. Long story, but the seller was really shady - and I'm glad we walked away. Even though the house was adorable, and perfect otherwise. But, I digress.

  

Well, tonight we saw THE nicest house. Slightly out of our price range (our first mistake? probably), our realtor even made me promise not to squeal and fall in love once we went inside. Too late, George, too late. It was INSANE. Totally redone. I'm not sure we're good enough for this house, is that possible? For a house to be better than you? If so, I think we found it. I think it's a looooong shot, but we may try to go for it. The worst they can say is no, right? (waaaaaah).

Here's hoping. (and yes, we totally look like Sherlock Holmes while house hunting. duh.)

Becoming an Aunt...

When I found out my sister was in labor on Saturday morning, I might have made some super awesome excited faces. I also may have been shouting, 'it's BABY TIME!'

We knew we'd have a little time (HA, this is laughable now), so we ate breakfast.

Then we jumped in the car, and stopped at Starbucks on the way, I'm a sucker for the Starbucks holiday cup. I can't help ma self.

We packed up Winston the bear, who was so cute I kinda wanted to keep him for myself. The baby won't even know, right? I mean, look at his little face! And the scarf? Come on.


Tim & I met my parents at the waiting room. Everyone was all smiles. (Note: this was about 30 mins into the waiting.)

I won't say how long we waited (cough::9 hours::cough), but long enough that our phones needed to be recharged.

Inexplicably this pregnant (and angry?) statue had a blue pom pom snow hat on. Weird choice, Lehigh Valley Labor & Delivery staff, weird choice.

Hospitals apparently play the lullaby, Rockaby Baby, every time a baby is born. Who knew? Not me. Finally at 4:34pm, Angela Elise was born, weighing in at 8lbs 7oz and 22 inches. I couldn't be happier for Meg & Michael. I can't wait to spoil this little girl.
